Jog Hospital held its annual training
program on orthopaedics well known now as “JOINTS” on the 5th of
Sept, 2008. As has been the case for the last 2 years, hands-on
training workshops were held on bone models at SLC, (Sushrut
Learning Centre), Sushrut’s initiative in facilitating knowledge
sharing in the field of orthopaedics.
The faculty comprised of eminent orthopaedic surgeons including Dr.
Rajesh Parasnis, Dr. Amol Rege, Dr. Sandeep Patwardhan, Dr. Sudhir
Warrier and Mr.Ravi Sarangapani of Sushrut who spoke on
fundamental orthopaedic subjects for exam-going post graduate
students.
Course content included Biomechanical considerations of bone
fixation, Thoracolumbar spine, interbody fusion and cervical spine
fixation with hands-on workshops and a course on correction of CTEV
(Congenital Talipes Equino Varus) and Hand injuries using UMEX. |
